“Master KANZOME!”
At SG Dyeing Section, each color is hand-dyed with “KANZOME” by our staff. KANZOME is a dyeing technique to tone colors by craftsmen’s instinct without relying on data.
In the past, a major dyeing and cotton-spinning manufacturers jointly conducted a color matching for buttons by CCM (computer color matching) and a dyeing test by an automatic dyeing machine. As a result, they found that those methods were not suitable for buttons. Unlike fabrics, buttons could not be dyed as numeric data showed. Serious corrections by human hands were essential. However, such corrections could not be carried out in terms of cost.
It is customers’ “eyes” that actually check colors. Even though the numeric data match, the colors do not match once customers sense a “slight difference.”
We strive ourselves to master “KANZOME” to match to customers’ “sensitivities,” not to numeric data.
